SnackMagic's 2022 Top Ten Brands have their origins in different categories: chocolate, cookies, nuts, ground coffee, popcorn, chips, and jerky.   The above chart shows their traction journey (measured as their contribution to sales) and the fluctuations experienced over the first half of this year.

The Gilded Nut Snack Co.  has had a bumpy start to 2022 but has seen considerable growth from March onwards, reaching number one.   The brand doubled its contribution from roughly 11% of sales amongst the Top Ten, to 20% of sales among the Top Ten in six months. The same chart is posted again below with the jump.

The single-nut (pistachio) snack mix brand took over long-time fan favorites, such as Belgian Boys and Milk Boy.   Both of these brands skew confectionary and sweet, and were at top place in the throes of January (winter), but have had significant drop off this past June.  Bagged snacks like artisanal chip brand Hen of the Woods and heritage popcorn brand Pop Daddy Snacks have moved up, coming in second and third place, respectively.

Are cookies and chocolate more of a winter product?  Retail sales patterns would match such conclusions (given that baking supplies / baked goods are mostly on shelf October - February).
